This role is responsible for providing all financial needs through leadership and oversight of the financial activities of Business Transformation (BT) including Program Leo and Global Enablement, IT, and R&D globally by providing strategic financial support and guidance, a consolidated corporate view as well as oversight, connectivity and partnership with the organizations in Americas, EMEA, APZ and China.All BT, IT, and R&D financial results, analysis, reporting and processes (including SOX controls) are led by this role, and provides insights to the corporation to drive decisions and improve performance. The role also partners with the Business Transformation, IT, and R&D heads as the senior finance partner, providing strategic guidance and financial analyses and insight for these global organizations, including driving financial analysis and partnership for all strategic priorities and decision making.A' This role also will drive the establishment of a global Value Realization Office (VRO), a new capability for Company.A' This position is responsible for the global allocations and working within US and local tax laws to ensure accurate management and legal reporting.RESPONSIBILITIES:A cents € cents Responsible for all finance activities related to Business Transformation, IT, and R&D, including Budgeting, Forecasting, Project and Ad Hoc analysis for the areas of the business. Regularly review actual results against expectation and provide the business leaders with early warning of any deviations or adverse trends.A cents € cents Establish and drive the globalization of a Value Realization Office (VRO) through global oversight responsibilities, global metrics definition and measurement, and alignment across regions and functions.A cents € cents Serve on the Business Transformation and IT Leadership Teams to provide functional support and strategic management to these functions/programsA cents € cents Maintain an effective control environment and SOX compliance, including designing new and modifying existing controls to ensure the integrity of the financial statements and control environmentA cents € cents Develop team for growth, advancement, recognition. Drive organizational design and succession planning activities to ensure talent to match business ambitions. Ensure that finance is at all times closely integrated with and positively supports the business.A cents € cents Overall planning, goal setting and strategy determination for the immediate organization as well as working with Business Transformation, IT, and R&D Leaders on the same to drive programs to meet business objectivesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Business or other analytical degree or an MBA10+ years of relevant experience - accounting / financial analysis required; 8+ years managing, leading and developing dynamic work teams.A' Experience working across global teams is required.A' Experience in several areas of the finance discipline (ie public accounting, Central Close, Inventory, Budgeting and Planning, Corp. Accounting, Various Commercial Finance areas, Treasury) and/or multiple business units or finance support groups (Flavor Solutions, Consumer, GE, Supply Chain Finance, EMEA, Canada, etc.).Proven participation in region/global financial analysis and decision making.Understands and applies financial acumen from a global / multi-unit perspective.A' Demonstrated insight and understanding into non-financial functions and their relationship with the financial community in order to achieve goals as well as their impacts on multiple business results.Lead project or team experience as a business partner with at least two different non-financial functions.Knowledge of tax implications involved in providing business analysis and supports is and decision making.Understands and applies financial acumen from a global / multi-unit perspective.Expert financial understanding of the business characteristics of the local market and competitors in more than two business units or financial support groups.Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and influence at high levels (Sr Leadership/Function heads). In addition, the role requires strong diplomacy and negotiating skills.Ability to guide, influence and persuade at all levels both within and outside the function as well as different cultures, particularly considering the perspectives of each culture.Influences within a global matrix environment. Chief Transformation Officer, CIO, Functional Heads, Senior VP's, Corporate Controller, - Regular. Members of the Management Committee and Corporate CFO - at least quarterly. Regional Finance Directors - Regular. External Auditors - Quarterly and Annually. Interactions include reporting financial results and formal presentations, but also the selling of ideas, negotiating priorities and resources to execute key changes and deliver on important strategies aimed at the improvement of financial performance, supporting growth or developing people.Personal / Team Leadership - Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people/teams in a matrix and regional environment towards a common vision. Ability to drive and achieve superior results. Ability to build integrated relationships with business partners.Influencing Skills -Must have proven communication & diplomacy skills to exchange complicated, sensitive and controversial information to all levels of the organization. Able to navigate through complex business problems involving strategies that challenge organizational structure, process ownership, policy changes, multi-discipline and functional impacts with large change management impacts.Strategic Thinking - Demonstrated ability to set the overall vision and strategic direction with input from multiple functions and perspectives. Must be a "forward thinker" anticipating issues and opportunities for regional environment (economic, political and geographical impacts) to ensure the organization is prepared for future growth.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:MBACPAFinancial planning experience.
