We are seeking to add a well-qualified and experienced individual to our Herndon, VA office location for the position of Finance Account Administrator. Candidates must have 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks and 3-5 years of experience as a bookkeeper. Job Description: The Finance Account Administrator position is responsible for daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks as well as vendor payments. The position is also responsible for periodic invoicing of services and Accounts Receivables. Essential Duties: Daily recording, storing and retrieving company financial transactions in QuickBooks Desktop Processing vendor payments Ensuring accurate and prompt bill processing and payments Reviewing supporting documentation needed to pay vendors Processing of customer invoices per contract and company guidelines Maintaining SCA and contract compliance and best practices Making appropriate journal entries Analyzing and correcting payment discrepancies Assisting Finance Manager with any aspects of the job; providing input and escalating to upper management, if necessary Submitting status reports and timesheets Other Duties: Providing financial reports to Management and Accountants Analyzing incoming funds and report on the status of Accounts Receivables/Payables to Management Work closely with the Operations team to improve billing and collection processes Skills/Qualifications: 3-5 years' recent experience with Quickbooks and 3-5 years' bookkeeping experience, preferably in federal contracting Knowledge of DCAA compliance, preferred Knowledge of debits and credits and a basic understanding of financial accounting, which includes the balance sheet and income statement Client and vendor facing experience required Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment Ability to work independently and as a team BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills required Experience with Internet and Microsoft Office applications required
