Summary/Objective The human resource manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function. Union /Labor Relations Relationship Management Supervisory Responsibility This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Travel Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected (less than once a year). Required Education and Experience A bachelor's degree and/or four years of human resource experience, or a combination of education and experience. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Administers and enforces human resources and corporate processes and procedures for unit personnel. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Acts as organization representative in Union meetings and participates in Union grievance meetings A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Maintains ADP entry for new hires, terminations, employee changes, LOA's and benefits, and performs routine audits of ADP information A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the HR department. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Assists in coordination of annual performance evaluation program A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Conducts recruitment and onboarding for all nonexempt and temporary workers including posting of job openings, working with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; reference checks; A' job offers; and conducting new-employee orientations A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Manage progressive counseling and employee performance processes A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Establishes and maintains HR department records and reports. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Participates in local unit staff meetings and HR team meetings A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Maintains unit organizational charts A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Collaborates with local and corporate payroll to ensure timely and efficient payroll processing A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiencies of department and services performed. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Collaborates with HR Business Partners including Compliance and Legal teams. A' .A' A' A' A' A' A' Collaborates with Safety Manager on training and workers compensation program
