Through science and technology, Leidos makes the world safer, healthier and more efficient.Our Civil Group offers an array of exciting career opportunities for the best IT, energy, logistics and engineering professionals.A' Per contract requirements, US citizenship or permanent residency is required.Leidos is seeking a Senior Program Planner / Scheduler in Centennial, CO to serve as a member for the Antarctic Support Contract scheduling team.A' The position will be responsible for managing the schedules for several major capital projects (>$1 million) that are focused on revitalizing the US Antarctic Program's (USAP) facilities around the Antarctic.The Senior Program Planner/Scheduler will develop project schedules with Control Account Managers and/or Project Managers. The candidate will be responsible for applying best scheduling practices to develop the IMS's, along withA' working according to EVM standard EIA-748/GAO reporting and annual surveillance. Tasks are performed under the general direction of program managers and functional managers.Primary Responsibilities Include:Support the Project Controls functions on large capital programs projects Create and manage schedules using Primavera P6 for large projects compliant with EIA-748/GAO requirements. Creating schedules for new projects as well as continue development and management of existing schedules in all phases of projects.Develop, update and generally maintain baseline schedules and associated artifacts to meet contractual/project requirements.Gather needed information and update project ETC/EAC.Conduct critical path and network analysis on schedules.Maintain vertical and horizontal traceability between supplemental schedules and integrated master schedule.Monitor, analyze, and report performance against baseline schedules to ensure contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.Apply knowledge of and experience in cost-schedule integration between P6 and Cobra.Obtain weekly/monthly updates on schedules, including coordination with project managers and major subcontractors.Work closely with the project financial analyst to ensure cost-schedule integration is maintained. Participate in annual earned-value surveillance, including data calls and interviews.Generate weekly schedule status reports for project managers, and other activity reports as required.Work closely with Project Managers with development and maintenance of project documentation.Conduct Page & Line reviews of project schedules with Control Account ManagersReceive, analyze, manipulate and enter schedule data from primary subcontractor on project program into project IMS.Participate with project manager and project controls analyst to plan, create and implement baseline change requests (BCR).Be an active participant in peer reviews of projects.Support earned value system including maintenance, reporting and analysis.Facilitate planning discussions and engage with project team, functional organizations, the suppliers and customers in project focused meetings.Mentor junior schedulers in EV scheduling standards.Maintain EV schedule process documentation, procedures, and trainingParticipates in presentations and group discussions at internal and external financial/schedule meetings.Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the functional and operational unitsInteract appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree, and a thorough understanding of Earned-value (EIA-748/GAO) knowledge and building schedules that support EVM based projects.Knowledge of financial planning/budget planning and tracking.Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel skill set including pivot tables, macros, lookup tablesStrong understanding of project planning practices, financial and EVM reportingKnowledge of construction management, practices and processesExpected Skillsets:Key experience and skills need to demonstrate that this candidate can:Step in and assist us with building/maintaining Earned Value (EV) schedulesUnderstand EIA 748 guidelines and interpret these in schedulesAssist with establishing EV processes, procedures, and training for our scheduling teamMajor (DoD, DoE, NSF) programs experienceInteracting with program managers and the customerPreferred Qualifications:Primavera P6Microsoft ExcelExperience with National Science Foundation Large Facility Office (LFO)Experience with Department of Energy (DOE), Government Accountability Office (GAO), or Department of Defense (DOD) EVMS.Strong understanding of ANSI-748C and the NDIA Intent Guide and experience implementing these guidelinesDeltek COBRATravel Requirements:May require travel to out of state customer sitesPHYSICAL AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Deployment may be required in this position.A' This position requires successful completion of the National Science Foundation (NSF) physical and dental examinations for deploying to Antarctica.
