ResponsibilitiesThe Deputy Project Manager - Business Process Improvement's role is to support the project manager of a multi-workstream team in the delivery of business process improvement (BPI) and reengineering solutions in a dynamic client environment. This individual will manage a team of two to four personnel in the analysis of existing business processes and technologies and generation of recommendations for improvement. The Deputy Project Manager - Business Process Improvement will collaborate closely with the client to help transform their business processes and improve operational efficiency by applying BPI methodologies including process mapping, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and creation of performance metrics. A' The Deputy Project Manager - Business Process Improvement needs to understand BPI methodologies but will primarily be responsible for the management of BPI team members who will be performing analysis and recommending improvements. The Deputy Project Manager - Business Process Improvement will serve as the go-between for client requests and the Project Manager to ensure that priorities and recommendations are appropriately meeting both internal team member and external client expectations. This includes meeting with clients and internally to develop project plans, run iterative / agile meetings, and report on the timing and completion of deliverables. The Deputy Project Manager - Business Process Improvement will coordinate with diverse groups of client stakeholders to facilitate project progress, and help lead the designing, planning, and execution of deliverables that promote stakeholder buy-in and ensure successful adoption of project goals.A' Responsibilities: Serve as a main point of contact for daily client needs Hold regular meetings with client to gather information regarding existing business systems, processes, and technology Apply BPI best practices to develop recommendations for process improvement, and translate ideas into high-level graphics and documents that will be used to brief business stakeholders and senior executives Manage team to create deliverables that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for improving client's business processes Present recommendations to clients in meetings and facilitate discussions on those items Qualifications Active Public Trust BS degree in relevant discipline At least 3 years of demonstrated experience managing teams in the documentation of business requirements, documentation of processes, creation of SOPs, development of process improvement recommendations, and presentation to clients Strong critical thinking skills, writing skills, and communication skills in order to understand clients' problems and identify process improvements to address challenges Organized, flexible, adaptable, team oriented, and able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations A working understanding of BPI methodologies including process mapping, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and creation of performance metrics Ability to utilize MS Office suite, including Visio, to prepare presentations and gain stakeholder buy-inA' Preferred: Familiarity with law enforcement organizations or large federal organizations Experience managing clients in a dynamic federal environment where priorities can shift rapidly and access to technology can also change dramatically over the life of a project Prior management consulting experience Certification in Project Management (PMP or CAPM) Knowledge and experience using Lean Six Sigma methodologies Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools such as R, Python, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and Tableau Experience with financial management principles, objectives, and processesClearance: Active Public Trust Additional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
