Intralox, LLC, is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed person to serve as Sourcing Specialist in its Supply Chain Department. This position is located in the Hanover, MD office reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Discuss and comprehend technical topics on both electrical and mechanical components with both internal product development teams and external vendors.
  • Execute extensive review of all electrical components; from review selects primary, secondary and tertiary electrical component options. Options will be inputted into IBA's Product Lifecyle Management software.
  • Thoroughly understand the electrical component supplier pool ensuring suppliers are positioned for success given IBA's supply demand.
  • Manage vendor relationships from qualification through development and continuous improvement.
  • Co-lead new product development amongst internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Coordinate supplier management tasks inclusive of working with suppliers and internal employees.
  • Build long-term relationships by providing value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors.
  • Increase vendor participation through deep knowledge of program opportunities.
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree, preferably in a technical or business discipline, or commensurate experience.
  • Five (5) years' experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Must have a high technical aptitude.
  • Previous knowledge of commonly used controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and supply chain management best practices.
  • Must be a self-managed, hard-working, self-motivated individual.
  • Work with personnel at all levels of the Company.
  • Deep understanding of problem-solving techniques.
  • Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and the potential of long work hours.
  • Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • A valid driver's license.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in Autodesk Software or equivalent.
