THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a Supply Management Specialist (Title 32), Position Description Number D0883P01 and is part of the VA G4, National Guard.

Responsibilities

As a Supply Management Specialist, GS-2003-11, you will perform the below duties:
(1) Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
(2) Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensures coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiates equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center for Federal and State missions.
(3) Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Consolidates all logistics readiness indicators to formulate an assessment of the command logistics readiness of the state. Develops the Equipment on Hand policy that directs the supply and services officer and (DOL) DCSLOG/G4 to initiate equipment redistribution actions within the command.
(4) Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. Receives input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans to support the material fielding plan. Develops command requirements for new equipment training. Analyzes, directs and provides command logistics guidance to support CTA/TDA/MTOE changes and turn-in of command excess equipment to the USPFO.
(5) Serves as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program.
(6) Updates Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4 branches or activities. Prepares the annual DCSLOG/G4 management controls statement of assurance.
(7) Performs other duties as assigned.

WHO CAN APPLY:
GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E1/PVT - E8/MSG) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program.
GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Enlisted Personnel (E1/PVT -E8/MSG), regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period.

Military Grades: Enlisted Member (E1/PVT - E7/SFC)

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Applicant musthave at least 36 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-09 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:

Education

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets the GS-5 level requirements.
