Employment Type: Part-Time More information about this job: POSITION TITLE: Customer Service Desk Attendant PURPOSE: To provide customers with prompt, enthusiastic and courteous service to insure that maximum utilization of lanes and equipment is realized through the efficient flow of customers. DUTIES: Greet customers as they enter the center. Inform customers of center services and special events. Assign open lanes to customers and take waiting list names if no open lanes are available Rent shoes and help customers locate house balls if needed. Take payment from customers, accurately ringing transaction on register and providing accurate change to customer. Start league play according to schedule Page customers as required and make promotional and safety PA announcements. Notify the mechanic of all machine malfunctions. Keep a record of all calls made to the pits. Direct porter to insure clean conditions are maintained throughout the center. Respond to customer complaints. Escalate to Manager on duty if needed. Assist customers and correct problems that occur in bowlers' areas such as score correction, sticky approaches and removal of house balls from the ball returns. Remove dead wood from lane or gutter if it is located between the foul line and the camera. Remove any bowling balls that may be stuck on the lane in the same areas. Accept group reservations and record in Reservation book. Must have working knowledge of package options, pricing and be able to sell packages to customers. (Some centers have party planners or designated employees to handle party events. Your manager will inform you if you will be trained for reservations). Any additional duties as assigned by the center manager. REQUIREMENTS: Job requires the employee to be fluent in reading, writing, speaking and understanding in English. Bilingual is a plus. Job requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time, and involves bending, twisting and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
