Job Description: Now offering a $5,000 sign on bonus! Mercy Medical Center is seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner. The Sr. HR Business Partner is often the first point of contact for many employee concerns. This position must be able identify complex issues and engage the appropriate HR functions. Primary responsibilities will include: conducting investigations, engaging with other HR functions, assisting employees and managers with questions regarding policy interpretation and practices, attending unemployment hearings, coaching managers with performance management, providing training and presentations to managers, conducting exit interviews, and maintaining the employee handbook. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience dealing with complex employee relations matters, preferably in a hospital setting. Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Relations, or a related field. Must possess 5 years of employee relations experience. Other education or work experience requirements: -Healthcare Experience preferred. -Certification Requirements: PHR certification preferred -Must possess skills in: -Computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. -Computer literacy: -Must be computer literate -Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. -Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. -Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. -Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. -Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
