The GSOC Supervisor (Special Programs) leads the day-to-day activities assigned to a specialized team within Amazon Corporate Security. This position is responsible for line-level supervision of up to ten Operators and Lead Operators. The successful candidate will drive team success and ensure all Task Force positions are staffed with qualified personnel and all operations are conducted in line with established policy and procedure. The Task Force's current mission focus is related to the client's response to COVID-19. This is a full-time contracted position that is located in both the South Lake Union district of Seattle, WA and the Crystal City district of Arlington, VA.Essential Job FunctionsManage the day-to-day responsibilities of a team of up to ten operators and lead operators. Plan and assign work, ensuring timely completion of all assignments and responsibilities. Assist employees to prioritize effectively when facing competing demands.Support the individual employees and foster a collaborative group dynamic; provide effective conflict resolution when needed.Drive team performance goals and objectives to meet customer expectations.Provide oversight for the quality of the team's various projects and reports. Ensures products, services, and other outputs meet associated service level agreements and/or client expectations for accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.Respond to inquiries and escalations from internal business partners and customers, including senior leadership teams.Leverage data analysis skills to identify gaps, provide adequate response and drive process or system improvement changes to completion.Basic QualificationsExperience managing diverse teamsExperience working with diverse, global partnersAbility to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environmentProvide regular, formal, & informal feedback to direct reportsSupport hiring, training and development of new operatorsEnsure productivity is maximized through supervision, training, audit analysis, and feedback of performance data regularlyExperience managing multiple projects and overcome competing deadlines; leverage resource and people management skills to achieve resultsStrong writing skills and proficiency in ExcelPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degreeExposure to Lean or Six Sigma process improvement cycleExperience managing virtual or remote teamsExperience and proficiency in presenting to senior leadership up to Director level3+ years people management experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams, developing team members and growing process improvement and analytical skillsets across a teamThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of this job.
