Basic Qualifications: . Proficiency in the navigation and use of MS-Windows and familiarity with UNIX/Linux commands (College Coursework acceptable) . Familiarity with a Mainframe environment . Must be either a US Citizen or possess a minimum 3 years of residency as a Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) in the US . Before beginning work, candidate must be able to obtain interim staff-like access based upon an IRS "Moderate-risk . Background Investigation (MBI). Preferred Qualifications: . Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline. . Understanding of software configuration management concepts, industry practices and standards. . Experience with IBM Rational/Jazz Platform. . Basic scripting knowledge (Perl, PHP, PowerShell, etc.) . Familiarization of GIT, GITHUB, etc. . Knowledge of current IRS tax administration software applications. . Active MBI or higher-level clearance. Specific Roles and Responsibilities include: . Implement and conduct software configuration management (CM) and version control of multiple programs in IBM . Mainframe, MS-Windows, and UNIX client/server environments. . Utilize ENDEVOR, ClearCase and established IRS-approved procedures and practices to process and stage transmittals. . Work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve software build issues in a timely manner. . Support the IRS tax administration pipeline. . Support Agile, DevOps and other IRS initiatives to improved processing efficiencies.
