Responsibilities OBXtek is hiring for an Expert Systems Programmer in Mainframe File Transfer Support, to support the development, design, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of the data exchange mainframe environment. This position is currently permitted to work remotely due to Covid restrictions. There may be an occasional request to work onsite until the Social Security Administration opens up for consistent onsite work. In support of the task, the candidate shall perform the activities described in the sections below: * Design, develop, and code in-house written programs and scripts to include but not limited to JCL, REXX and Assembler languages, in an IBM z/OS environment. * Support for batch processing solutions and troubleshooting on z/OS * Familiarity with Scheduling software on z/OS such as Control-M in support of Data Exchange solutions. * Provide support for IBM and non-IBM software to include but not limited to TIBCO Managed File Transfer Platform Server and IBM Connect:Direct File Transfer Software * Provide support for client's mainframe data exchange infrastructure. This will include software maintenance and upgrades, profile and transfer definition administration, troubleshooting software issues and supporting Mainframe infrastructure upgrades to TIBCO Managed File Transfer Platform Server and IBM Connect:Direct within the z/OS mainframe environment. * Troubleshoot data exchange issues within the mainframe environments which includes interfacing with both internal and external business partners. Qualifications Must be able to obtain SSA Suitability/Public Trust Requires 10 years technically related experience with the following: * JCL * Rexx * Mainframe z/OS operations upport * TCP/IP * VTAM * Abends experience including DASD space related abends * Experience with scheduling software on z/OS such as Control-M * Preferred: CyberFusion or TIBCO experience, or experience with Managed File Transfer Note: Will participate in rotating on call schedule.
