Our Customer Development team works with Small Business owners to create long term, meaningful relationships to better understand their business and their entire B2B wallet. To do this we must be accessible, we must be as dynamic and adaptive as their lifestyle is, and we must be present in the lives of these customers. So we have built field-based regional teams aligned with Inside Sales Reps that engage small businesses in their own communities and on their terms.

What You'll Do:

As an Inside Sales Leader, you will be assisting small businesses to thrive and to grow the Spark brand in an industry changing way You'll be responsible for building a high performing team that delivers against the defined objectives for their area of responsibility.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of building high-performance teams and exceeding targets in a high growth company. Strategic/consultative selling experience, excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail; the ability to work autonomously; and to manage multiple tasks effectively while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities are a must. In addition, this individual should have strong written and verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone. Creating excitement and maintaining high levels of morale through change are essential for this opportunity.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Hire, onboard, train, coach, develop, motivate their team of Inside Sales Reps.
  • Build a dynamic sales and customer development culture and meet or exceed identified channel and department productivity and effectiveness goals while providing an outstanding customer experience.
  • Maintain knowledge and provide guidance of processes and procedures and/or small business card related issues, both technical and procedural, in order to provide effective support.
  • Partner with the field sales leadership team to improve the productivity and effectiveness of the interaction model between the Inside Sales Reps and Relationship Managers.
  • Participate in strategic / tactical planning process with the Customer Development leadership team leveraging your experience to devise sales strategy and developing/contributing to enablement programs/processes.
  • Ensure that all customer interactions are conducted in accordance with Capital One legal and compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze sales metrics to inform training and coaching
  • Interaction and coordination of customer and staff resolutions with other departments on a daily basis.
  • Navigate through multiple lead management/servicing software systems
  • Responsible for decision making on customer related matters.
  • Some travel is required (10%)


Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of leading a sales team


Preferred Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Management
  • 5 years of inside sales leadership experience
  • 3 years of experience partnering with Small Businesses
  • 3 years of financial industry experience
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • 1+ years of experience with Salesforce.com
  • 1+ years of experience with Google Suite
