CR includes Global Government Relations, Global Philanthropy, Sustainable Finance, Regulatory Affairs, and the JPMorgan PolicyCenter and Institute. Global Government Relations (GGR) is housed within Corporate Responsibility and is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive policy, regulatory and advocacy strategy on behalf of JPMorgan Chase. The Global Engagement (GE) team, which is part of Global Government Relations, is seeking an Associate to be located in Washington, DC ., reporting to the Global Engagement Director . GE coordinates engagement with foreign governments and the diplomatic community, multilateral government organizations, trade associations, think tanks and other international policy fora to highlight and advance the firm's policy priorities and other Corporate Responsibility initiatives. The team also manages the firm's International Council (IC). It works closely with the Federal and International Government Relations (GR) teams on a wide range of foreign policy and international economic matters including international trade, market access, and investment issues in foreign markets. GE monitors key political and economic events globally, identifies potential trouble spots and emerging trends, and provides analysis on risks and potential impacts. We are looking for an entrepreneurial Associate who will support a broad range of Global Engagement responsibilities and is eager to expand his/her skills into geopolitical risk analysis. Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and tracking US government Executive Branch international policy developments, relevant Congressional action; trade and other bilateral or multilateral economic negotiations. Supporting the GE team in providing analytical work to firm leadership and other key functions across the firm. Facilitating work with JPMorgan's International Council (IC), including communications with IC leadership and members; logistics for IC meetings; coordinating with external partners providing IC inputs and other background materials; supporting internal communications and IC planning including managing the agenda and tasking of bi-weekly internal meetings; and acting as main point of contact with the compliance team on all issues related to member engagement. Supporting GE Director in building new partnerships with think tanks and international organizations, particularly around new avenues for JPMorgan global thought leadership and external visibility on relevant global issues. Supporting broad GE team responsibilities including, but not limited to: Facilitating the logistics for regular Risk Roundtable discussions with senior leaders of the firm on pressing geopolitical and economic issues, including acting as the main point of contact for speakers, the internal events team, managing invitations and aggregating questions in advance. The Associate will also be responsible for a post-event synopsis to be shared with the broader CR and Risk internal community. Tracking of events and facilitating JPMorgan participation in multilateral events including the UN General Assembly, WEF/DAVOS, and IMF annual meetings. Maintaining internal and external stakeholders for the GE team in order to facilitate outreach around key events including Annual Reports, Shareholder Letter, CR Report and ESG Report. Managing budgets for GE sponsorships, memberships, and events. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; policy, international affairs and/or government experience desirable. Demonstrated analytical and independent problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate concepts and strategies concisely and effectively. Excellent organizational skills. Administrative project management experience desirable. Bachelor's Degree required, graduate degree or commensurate experience a plus.
