Someone who not only can help oversee the Accounting Department but is actively involved in operations.Here is why this is a great opportunity:$70,000+ based on experience & qualificationsLongevity Bonus of $6KIndividuals with 2 or more years of Automotive Office Manager experience are encouraged to applyIndividuals with 4 or more years of experience in Automotive Accounting are encouraged to applyAccounting degree preferred but not requiredGreat Company cultureCareer advancement opportunitiesCompetitive compensation packageOpportunity to work with an innovative growing companyPaid Time Off and 401kMedical, Dental, Short and Long-term disability, AD&D and Life InsuranceEmployee discounts on Vehicle Purchase, Parts, Service and More!Here is what you will be doing to help grow and strengthen our company:Oversee tasks to ensure that financial functions are reconciled monthly including (but not limited to): cash, accounts receivables, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, manufacturer statements, payroll administration, vehicle deal commissioning, inter-company accountsMeet all monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines as required Including monthly reconciliations, quarterly reporting etc.Work closely with the Controller and General Managers to ensure all their financial and accounting needs are met and relevant analysis is performedLead, mentor and coach an accounting team, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing of work, ensuring quality standards are metAssist with hiring, reviewing performance and administering corrective action plans to associates when necessaryAssist with the training process and ongoing development of the assigned team to ensure understanding and compliance with the accounting DMS, accounting policies, controls, reporting timelines and proceduresProvide leadership and support to ensure the team is successful in achieving goals and objectivesPromote professional development within a team environment ensuring associates are held accountableReview and monitor dealership compliance with accounting policies, procedures and controls, to ensure consistency among all dealerships in the CompanyInterprets the daily operating reports and informs management of developing trendsReinforces company policies and adheres to all company standardsMaintains and inspects for compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsEnsure proper internal controls are in placeReview the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payableHere is what youll need to be successful:5+ years of experience in a dealership accounting office, or an accounting degree and 2+ years of accounting experiencePrevious experience as an accountant, accounting supervisor or office managerThorough understanding of accounting principlesExperience with dealership management systems such as Reynolds/Ignite or CDKFull knowledge of all aspects of the automotive accounting departmentExcellent computer skills; Experience in Google Platform and Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, cost accounting and cost control principles and General Accepted Accounting PrinciplesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to develop and implement improvements or recommendationsStrong analytical and problem solving skills and experienced in developing a competent teamAble to work well with Managers as well as mentor/lead other team membersInterpersonal skills to communicate with external entities and company personnelAble to work under pressure and prioritize
