The Patient Access Specialist receives inbound calls from patients requesting services within JHM.. Coordinate appointment scheduling, collect/update patient demographic, insurance information and verification using an electronic medical record system (Epic). Responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining the image of JHM. Call Center Assessment is required. Applicant must demonstrate a passing score of accurately entering at least 80 correct fields. Option to telecommute after successfully completing a 90-day orientation and training period Shift: Non-exempt. - Full-time 40 hours per weekRequirements:High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years of college preferred.Requires a minimum of two years related of experience in medical office, hospital, medical call center or similar customer service environment.Must successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial.
