ResponsibilitiesThis position would support a federal agency located in Washington, DC.A' The position will be a SME in the federal asset forfeiture program (AFP) and serve as a task team lead.A' The candidate supports the AFP, provide assistance in monthly data quality reviews, data quality test plans, collecting-analyzing data results, prepare recommendation summaries, prepare finding reports, internal control reviews, internal audits, support CATS and UFMS requirements, prepare "Aged Assets"A' reports, and support the AFP and projects.A' Developing data analytics tools, improving and documenting business process improvements. Leveraging AFP knowledge and experience to identify root cause, risks, quality issues and provide corrective action plans.A' A' The candidate shall provide financial statement audit support, perform research and analysis of CATS and UFMS, apply accounting methods, review/validate CATS/UFMS data inconsistencies and provide action plans.A' Provide support of Prepared by Client (PBC) requirements, assist the OIG and external auditors with annual financial audit statement audits, review-validate and prepare responses to Notice of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs), assist and support Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) review; and track PBC products, support accounting and financial requirements, prepare memos and ad hoc reports.A' Support internal audit support to include, the OMB Circular A-123 compliance, AFP monthly data quality reviews, internal controls review, and other internal and external audits. Conduct examination of case file documentation for data quality review samples from all of the AFP's participating agencies to determine the validity of the data recorded in CATS;A' A' A' A' A' A' Support federal clients, optimize the operations of their finance organization and strengthen internal controls.A' A' This position would support the AFP executing projects to provide audit-compliance review support, collection and analysis of CATS and UFMS data, and designing and implementing business process improvements.A' A' The role would require understanding of the AFP operations in order to effectively engage with client stakeholders and lead junior team members.A' A' A' A' QualificationsRequired:A' Significant experience, at least 4 years successful completion of similar projects and leading tasks. Demonstrates ability to provide guidance and direction at the task level Graduate Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related disciplineA' In lieu of an advance degree, 10 years' experience performing similar work. Experience with federal auditing, internal controls, A-123, developing improvement recommendations and interfacing with various levels of federal management, NFRs, CAPs, PBCs, UFMS and CATSThe ability to obtain a Public Trust - Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance is contractually requiredA' US Citizenship is contractually requiredDesired:A' Understanding of federal financial management, internal controls and data analytics Experience with federal auditing, internal controls, developing improvement recommendations and interfacing with various levels of federal management CPA, CGFM or PMP or related credential Understanding of federal financial management and internal controls Federal project management experience Additional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
