Assistant Store Manager We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join us in Alexandria,VA 22312 Who we are: AMES Taping Tools is the nation's leading provider of automatic taping and finishing (ATF) tools, supplies, and training to the professional drywall finishing industry. With our expansive network of company stores and franchised tool rental locations throughout the United States and Canada, we're committed to supporting residential and commercial interior finishing contractors with the industry's largest tool rental operation. Our stores offer all customers a comprehensive selection of drywall finishing tools, supplies, and equipment, making us your one-stop shop for all thing's drywall. What you will do: * Effectively manage the overall operation of the store, including tool rental, merchandise sales, inventory control, shipping & receiving, administrative and financial operations, safety and merchandising. * Daily functions may include greeting customers, processing rental & sales transactions, providing excellent customer service, order processing, merchandising, inventory & tool audits, collections, housekeeping, Point of Sales System (POS), database development, loss prevention, balancing cash and credit card receipts and making bank deposits. * Complies with company policies and procedures. Our ideal candidate: Education and experience * High School Diploma or GED * 4 plus years related work experience * Bilingual English/Spanish is a must * Work experience in a construction related and/or retail environment preferred * Experience in sales is preferred * Must have valid driver's license Skills and abilities: * Availability to occasionally travel to other store locations as needed. * Experience using Outlook and Excel in a work environment Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
