This role is for someone innovative and loves wearing multiple hats.A' This position is located in Dundalk and is 100% in-office.Job PurposeProvide financial, accounting, and administrative support to the accounting department to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate reporting. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who possesses strong initiative and can manage and complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. This individual must be able to communicate effectively and work with other members of the team to achieve the company's goals and objectives.Duties & Responsibilities May Include: Prepare daily cash report. Reconcile bank statements. Prepare and submit monthly CCIP/OCIP reports. Maintain unclaimed property program including outreach and internal and government reporting. Assist in maintaining detailed fixed asset records, lists, and files. Assist in managing monthly financial close, ensuring that transactions and adjustments comply with GAAP and all closing tasks and schedules are completed in accordance with established deadlines. Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP and accepted policies and procedures. Prepare, review, and enter journal entries, reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts. Serve as a backup for the AR, AP, Payroll and Project Accounting functions. Prepare sales and payroll tax returns and reconciles. Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Direct and supervise the work of assigned subordinates. Assist in the compilation and coordination of information for external auditors. Assist in the implementation of an equipment and inventory module for the company's accounting system. Perform complex data analysis', reconciles, and creation of schedules. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Notes payable, receivable, depreciation, and amortization of fixed assets. Multi-state licenses and revenue reporting. Creation and or verification of employee and or 401k census'. JobRequirements: Hands on style of working. Thorough understanding of GAAP and accounting processes and controls. Strong organizational skills and desire to work in a team environment. Advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Experience with Sage/Timberline and QuickBooks accounting software a plus. Microsoft Office 365 / SharePoint. Construction accounting experience a plus.Education/Experience: Minimum of 5 years accounting or financial audit experience. Bachelor's degree in accounting. Stable work history.
