Principal HR Coordinator

We are looking for exceptional Coordinators to support our Campus team in both the recruiting and programs spaces. On the recruiting side, you will play a critical role in helping our team be well-managed throughout an exciting, high volume, and fast paced season. Supporting Programs, you would be specifically responsible for event planning, execution, logistics, and on-going tracking. You would collaborate closely with our Program Manager and the recruiting team on strategic design of the program as well as project management across the effort and engaging with our interns, new hires, and internal business partners.

Teamwork, flexibility, attention to detail, communication, ability to learn new things quickly, problem solving, and being organized are all important skills for this role. As a Coordinator, you will be part of an "all-hands-on-deck" environment. We are a flexible team working in an agile format and sharing tasks. If this sounds like you, here are some more granular role responsibilities. Your role might include:
  • Provide recruiting support services in accordance with Capital One's recruiting processes, standards, and systems
  • Serve as primary point person for moving candidates to the correct requisitions in Workday
  • Partner with recruiters to ensure flawless execution of the interviewing process and/or assist recruiters with various aspects of the candidate offer process
  • Support the referral tracking process or any other ad-hoc candidate funnel data requests
  • Coordinate recruiting & program events and initiatives (calendar invites, room blocks, catering orders, etc.)
  • Develop logistical strategy and own event execution for our programs across geographies
  • Oversee travel and hotel accommodations
  • Own event details, to build a great associate experience
  • Support management of relevant departmental data systems, including candidate tracking database, budget tracking, and decision-making tools
  • Enthusiastically build and manage relationships with leaders and partners across a range of levels, business functions, and geographies
  • Manage confidential information in a professional manner
  • Work closely with an awesome team (we're biased, but really), and be willing to pitch in and help wherever needed


Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service, corporate event planning, or project management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • Advanced in Powerpoint and Excel (3+ years)
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience with Workday Tracking System
