The Role in Brief and Who You'll Be Working With Building on its recent track record, New Century Health is now looking for an executive leader to drive discontinuous innovation and growth. Your unique "A< oeHorizon 3' mandate will be to create meaningful new capabilities, service offerings, and businesses that extend our market leadership in oncology and cardiovascular specialty care management. This is a rare opportunity for an entrepreneurial "A< oestrategic operator' to create and scale new ventures that have a dramatic social impact within a vibrant, mission-driven culture. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Product & Strategy, you will regularly interact with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, in addition to colleagues from Product and Engineering, Clinical, Business Development, Operations, and Account Management. You will lead myriad external discussions with existing and prospective clients and partners and cultivate a scrappy, high-performance team to execute this exciting mandate.A' What You'll Be DoingSolidifying and prioritizing the most promising terrains to take advantage of disruptive opportunities and/or to counter emerging threatsDefining a long-term, compelling vision for how New Century Health establishes distinctive market leadership in those terrains and creates outsized benefits for clients and partnersDeveloping a "A< oehere-to-there' plan that drives rapid value and enables continuous learning and refinementEnfranchising multiple stakeholders and building strong business cases for product investments, partnerships, and/or M&ARolling up your sleeves to make it happen - executing on initial ventures/concepts, supporting initial sales, hiring, and implementation activities, and scaling those with promiseManaging your portfolio to hit specific growth targetsRecruiting and managing a high-performance teamPromoting the value of innovation and strengthening internal capabilitiesThe Experience You'll Need (Required)Bachelor's DegreePrevious experience with payer/provider/healthcare sector10+ years of consulting, strategy, product or business development experienceProven track record of new business buildingFinishing Touches (Preferred)Strong drive to see right answer concepts realized in natureIntense curiosity and an abhorrence for "A< oeivory tower' product developmentAbility and desire to see the forest (industry forces, emerging threats) and the trees (specific workflow needs of new user personas)Unparalleled talent for rapid root cause analysis and creative problem-solvingUnique ability to simultaneously balance "A< oebull' and "A< oebear' perspectives on any new concept, recognizing that it will only happen if you push it, but that you should not fall in love with anything still unprovenWillingness to roll up sleeves and be scrappyExperience managing and coaching more junior team membersExperience engaging others in consultative conversations, ability to be convincing when necessary, and ability to develop strong relationships through each interactionFluency with pro forma development and financial modelingEvidence of strong collaboration and teamworkExceptional communication skills, both written and oralAbility to independently manage against short-term and long-term goalsMBA or other advanced degreeTechnical Requirements Company allows employees work remotely for many of our positions. For those working remotely, we require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 MBPS and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router.
