Position Description The system administrator provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution Position Specific Responsibilities: Provide mission-specific server and desktop administration in support of 315th Cyberspace Operations Squadron. Provide support in all areas of installation, configuration and setup, integration, testing, deployment, RMF tasks, documentation, and management of the Application Architecture's hardware and software, mission applications and / or systems, and other software tools as required. Lead the effort to document the System Security Plan, Authority to Operate, and all other required documents to establish a Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) for the squadron. Partner with the government Office of the CIO and other squadron technical experts to establish the JIOR then lead the effort to ensure it is continuously maintained and operated in accordance with all government guidelines including NIST SP 800-53 Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organization and NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management Framework for Information Systems and Organizations. Support installation level, Department of the Air Force, and Department of Defense standard systems for centralized installation support in accordance with the Computer System Configuration Baseline (CSCB). Install Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patches on all servers and desktops, and performs test and verification to ensure the systems are not adversely affected by the patch. Perform release management of software, manage licenses, verify Certificates of Networthiness, and document all System Architecture changes. Any manual intervention within the System Architecture will be reported to the proper Air Force authorities the same day. Perform root cause analysis of the reason for the necessity of the manual intervention and recommend corrective actions. Create and update Standard Operating Procedures. This position has full access rights to the system components being supported and is responsible for maintaining all physical security measures, to include escorting non Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel into the classified hosting environment when providing direct support to assigned servers / systems on behalf of the assigned tenant organization. Monitor system logs, security logs, and applications logs, and daily reports a summary of findings. Qualifications:The candidate must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph. Bachelor's degree plus 5 years' experience.The candidate must have CompTIA Security. Additional preferred certifications that would make the candidate more desirable are Microsoft Windows 10 MCSA or Microsoft Installing and Configuring Windows 10 certifications, and Red Hat Linux Administration certification.The ideal candidate has experience following the commercial standards IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3, associated International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards, NIST SP 800-53 (Security and Privacy Controls), and NIST SP 800-37 (Risk Management Framework).Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI PolyIn some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience.
