Our client, a well-known privately-held organization in the Linthicum Heights, MD is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to their team! The department is growing tremendously, as this is new role added to the team because of expansion. It will report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting, and will help handle the day to day accounting functions, vendor relationships, and help ensure the monthly financials are completed timely and accurately.This position will be remote to start and could eventually become a hybrid situation in office/remote later this year, but TBD.Job Responsibilities:Bank reconciliations, posting to and reconciling general ledgerEfficiently prepare financial statements for reviewPrepare and review financials schedules and reconciling to the general ledgerMaintaining and updating Fixed Asset SchedulesAssist with preparation of annual financial auditPerform analysis as needed on Company transaction reportsPreparation of the Daily Cash Position ReportsAssist with reporting needs within the organizationSpecial projects as assignedQualifications:BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration5 years accounting experienceExperience in GAAP accounting and monthly closing processes in an ERP environmentIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsAbility to work in a dynamic and evolving environmentStrong attention to detail Offering:Good work/life balance AND flexibilityFull health/dental/vision insurance with multiple plans to choose from CareFirst BCBSHSA and FSA401k +match up to 4%27 days PTORemote to start!Base salary $75,000-$80,000
