Primary responsibilities will include leading and growing the architecture department in the design and planning process for multi-faceted production facilities and directing and supporting the production and coordination of architectural deliverables. Key Management Responsibilities: A cents € cents Assist with the development and implementation of the firm's business, financial success, alignment and management of office resources, staff growth and development, champion technical quality initiatives, design practice integration (along with Design Leaders) and project process leadership. A cents € cents Manage, hire, and develop the architectural design team A cents € cents Make staff assignments to maintain utilization and technical excellence A cents € cents Manage and coordinate workload of teams and provide leadership of team activities A cents € cents Communicate client objectives, provide constructive feedback and mentoring, and identify and share lessons learned with teams. A cents € cents Position requires ownership and commitment to adhering to project timelines, budgets, project efficiency, and identifying, managing and tracking project changes A cents € cents Assure that technical quality of projects is achieved and enforce application of QA/QC process standards and requirements. Ensure appropriate client and internal communication including written project documentation. A cents € cents Strong ability to work collaboratively with clients, senior project managers and in-house engineering disciplines A cents € cents Strong design, technical, and communication skills (both visually & verbally) are essential Key Project Responsibilities A cents € cents Must possess strong project management skills relating to design, coordination and time management A cents € cents Provide Project Management for 1 -2 key client projects and large design teams led by the architectural discipline A cents € cents Provide principal-level management for task managers of Annual Service contracts A cents € cents Support architectural design leadership for varied projects and client base A cents € cents Be a proactive resource to project teams in their decision-making processes and in the development of technically sound and innovative planning and design solutions. A cents € cents Play a key role in meetings and presentations. A cents € cents Develop and maintain positive client relations. Communicate design, construction, and other issues to clients in a clear and compelling way. As necessary, work proactively to obtain approvals for additions to scope of work and influence clients to approve and process payables for our services. A cents € cents Capable of leading project teams through the overall design and documentation process for multiple projects simultaneously A cents € cents Work with clients, contractors and local officials to coordinate construction issues A cents € cents Direct, oversee and participate in the production of construction documentation including specifications Business Development and Marketing A cents € cents Participate in marketing campaigns and interview teams, prepare proposals and develop fees. A cents € cents Identify key project types and strategic new markets based on trends and staff capabilities A cents € cents Work closely with Sales Leads to track and support opportunities for key markets A cents € cents Strong abilities to initiate and maintain relationships with clients A cents € cents Work with clients and Project Principals to develop and negotiate budgets, schedules, and contracts. Essential Skills: A cents € cents Excellent verbal and written communications skills A cents € cents Demonstrates good interpersonal skills, attentive and approachable A cents € cents Maintains a professional and productive relationship with clients and co-workers A cents € cents Ability to inspire teams, develop relationships with co-workers and direct reports, to meet internal deadlines A cents € cents Positive attitude, even when under pressure A cents € cents Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment A cents € cents Collaborative and productive work style A cents € cents Flexible and willing to assist with multiple tasks A cents € cents Ability to obtain a security clearance, if needed PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS A cents € cents Bachelor of Architecture / Master of Architecture degree required A cents € cents 15 years of experience, in a professional services consulting firm with project operations experience A cents € cents Architectural license and NCARB registration preferred, On-track for near term considered A cents € cents LEED Accreditation preferred A cents € cents Experience managing projects of varied scale and complexity required A cents € cents Must have experience leading BIM project production teams, familiarity with Revit, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, as well as other data management software.
