Duties Help Duties Summary The incumbent is responsible for a wide variety of program management functions and administrative services for a program of moderate size and scope in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The incumbent will serve as the principal advisor to program managers and staff on administrative functions. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities As an Administrative Officer, you will:Research and report on a variety of special projects and program initiatives that serve as the basis for decisions that have operational impact.Perform a variety of administrative management assignments involving management analysis, budget and financial management, personnel management, purchasing, and support services necessary to meet program goals and objectives of the organization.Analyze, interpret, and apply agency directives and guidance, and develops supplemental guidance and instructions for use by administrative and program personnel. Specialized Experience for the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following:Researching and developing of administrative and financial management policy; ANDAnalyzing and evaluating administrative programs to improve organizational effectiveness; ANDProviding advice and guidance on administrative programs in support of an office. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks.
