The Team We are seeking a Legislative Assistant and Office Manager to join American Tower's Corporate Legal organization. Day to day you will be responsible for managing the American Tower office in Washington, DC, providing substantive and administrative support to the Public Affairs team. This position will cover logistics for events and meetings hosted by the American Tower Public Affairs team, support American Tower executives when in Washington, DC, and manage the Washington, DC office. In addition, you will support the DC Public Affairs team in monitoring federal legislative matters including tracking and reviewing legislation and attending hearings and public conferences. Job Requirements:What You Can Offer Us Organize and manage day-to-day operations of the Washington, DC office, including but not limited to, coordinating meeting spaces, coordinating and ordering office supplies and inventory, coordinating and maintaining the office security system, sorting and handling incoming and outgoing mail, managing vendor contracts, and various other administrative and clerical duties.A' Run logistics for Washington, DC events and other events hosted by the Public Affairs team, such as tower tours with policymakers.A' Support American Tower executive trips to DC including scheduling, working with the Public Affairs team to write briefing papers for executive trips. Support American Tower's Public Affairs communications and social media efforts. Keep current with relevant legislation and attend hearings and public conferences. Maintain document system for global Public Affairs team. Develop strong relationships with Public Affairs team members around the globe. Provide administrative support to Head of DC Office. Other duties as assigned. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree preferred. At least 3 years' professional experience in Washington, DC, preferably in a government or corporate environment. Previous experience working in a federal legislative, executive or other government office, or law or consulting firm preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word. Experience using LinkedIn and other social media platforms for businesses preferred. Independent DC network of contacts. Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced and unsupervised environment. Able to use discretion and work with little supervision. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous projects. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively. Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results. Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment. While performing the role you will need to lift up to 25lbs. Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities. This position is based in Washington, DC with some travel to Boston headquarters.
