Cybersecurity RMF Engineer - Secret
Position Description: Employee will serve in a Senior ISSE support role and perform tasks related to Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and cybersecurity under DHA to obtain and maintain Authorizations to Operate (Client) for assigned DoD medical systems (ie, applications, networks, devices). Primary Responsibilities: A cents € cents Support team in a Senior ISSE capacity for multiple information systems A cents € cents Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on one or more technologies/skills related to A&A activities A cents € cents Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs A cents € cents Provide solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of expertise and creativity. Problems are broadly defined and solutions require the continuation of specialized theories and knowledge A cents € cents Actively lead and participate in regular A&A status meetings with government and contract personnel to facilitate progress and address potential issues of RMF system efforts A cents € cents Participate in sessions aimed at identifying, planning, and executing strategies in response to emerging cybersecurity/RMF policies A cents € cents Maintain awareness and knowledge of evolving security and risk management standards and communicate and apply relevant changes to existing processes. Day-to-day tasks may include the following: A cents € cents Lead or attend meetings with SDD stakeholders to discuss statuses of efforts A cents € cents Assess system compliance against NIST, DoD, and DHA security requirements to include the NIST 800-53 controls and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) A cents € cents Produce evidence as necessary to support compliance status of NIST, DoD, and DHA security requirements A cents € cents Analyze vulnerability scans of information systems and assist in remediation tasks A cents € cents Submit weekly reports to DHA leadership regarding system/program status A cents € cents Develop, update, and/or review RMF documentation to include Security Plans, Implementation Plans, Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Risk Assessment Reports A cents € cents Coordinate with other system SMEs to identify and develop authorization boundary diagrams, architecture diagrams, and hardware and software inventories. Minimum Qualifications: A cents € cents BS degree and fifteen (15) years of experience with Cybersecurity / Information Technology, or eighteen (18) years of hands-on experience with Cybersecurity / Information Technology A cents € cents Active DoD Secret security clearance A cents € cents DoD 8570-compliant A cents € cents Demonstrated expert-level experience with Risk Management Framework (experience under DHA a plus) A cents € cents Demonstrated efficiency and expert-level experience in RMF package development, including POA&Ms (mitigation statements), Security Plans, Risk Assessments, architecture diagrams, asset inventories, and system/site policies, procedures, and processes A cents € cents Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) A cents € cents Experience in assessing systems using NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs/SRGs, and ACAS A cents € cents Familiarity and experience with the DoD tool eMASS A cents € cents Excellent customer service and organization skills A cents € cents Excellent oral and written communication skills A cents € cents Familiarity with NIST publications A cents € cents Ability to work on site 40 hours a week on Fort Detrick Army base Additional Qualifications a Plus: A cents € cents Experience working under DHA A cents € cents Experience with HBSS A cents € cents Experience in RMF policy development, process improvement, and strategy implementation A cents € cents Knowledge in Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) A cents € cents Knowledge in one or more of the following technologies: o Medical devices o Windows o Linux/Unix o Network Devices o Databases - MS SQL, Oracle o VMWare - Virtualization.
