Hands on responsibilities will include benefits and HRIS administration, employee action processes, general HR administration and corporate initiatives. This role is on-site at SPA HQ in Alexandria, Virginia, with hours of 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. #IN123ResponsibilitiesThe HR Generalist will provide high-quality HR support to our internal and external customers. They will support general HR and benefits administration, onboarding and other various HR events/initiatives. The HR Generalist will use their proficiency with theA' Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word) and ADP Workforce Now to develop and maintain associated spreadsheets, databases, information systems; audit vendor invoices, handle benefit inquiries and effect quick resolution while maintaining paper and electronic files, and assisting with audits. They will also maintain HR information and execute relevant employee processes in the HRIS system, ensuring information is entered timely and accurately.In addition, the HR Generalist will provide guidance and support on day-to-day general employee relations issues and escalating as appropriate. They will work alongside HR team members to support the onboarding of new hires, including conducting new hire orientation for both local and remote employees. They will ensure consistent implementation of HR programs and company-wide policies, procedures and guidelines and support HR initiatives as assigned to include employment changes, employment verifications and state/federal regulation research.The HR Generalist will work in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment requiring the ability to multi-task, a high degree of integrity, an ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgement.A' They will use their strong communication, presentation, time management, analytical, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills to compile and analyze data and work with HR metrics.A' In addition, they will assist with HR documentation preparation, employee out processing, and maintain contact in person, by phone and by email with employees, vendors, solicitors and other requesting information.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (or closely related field) preferred. HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred or actively being worked toward.A' A' Currently working in human resources with a minimum of 2-4 years' experience within a Professional Services organization in the following HR functional areas: Employment, Benefits, Compliance, Employee Relations and HRIS. Experience with benefit administration, onboarding and acting as the first line of contact for employee benefit questions. Working knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements as they relate to government contracting. US citizenship is required to meet eligibility to access classified information.
