Title:A' Lab Technician or Research Associate (depending on the level of experience) Location:A' Gaithersburg, MD Pay:A' $50,000-$65,000/yr Type:A' Direct-hire Job Overview: Execute work within the Polymer group alongside other R&D teams to create copolymers and biomimetic membranes based on transmembrane proteins. Responsibilities: Execute synthetic plan made by the scientist Perform polymer/organic synthesis, including small molecule, PDMS, amphiphilic polymer, and membrane additive synthesis Perform in-depth characterization using various analytical techniques and equipment Perform robust data analysis of data from lab experiments and is responsible for documentation of technical progress and results Perform regular maintenance for the instruments Troubleshoot instrument failure Requirements: BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science 0-4 A' years of relevant work experience Experience in organic/polymer synthesis Experience with analytical tools and techniques for polymer/material characterization Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work short cycle times and flexible hours if required, and deliver results under pressure EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
