Description Job Description:Leidos has a current job opportunity for a Senior Forensic Cybersecurity Analyst on the DISA GSM-O II program in Arlington, VA or Alexandria, VA. Work for this role will be performed at the Pentagon and at the Mark Center. Travel between both locations may be required.A' An active Secret security clearance is required prior to start.POSITION SUMMARY:This position is part of the Joint Service Provider (JSP) Security Operations Center (SOC) that executes 24x7 cybersecurity monitoring and incident response for JSP networks, some of the most targeted networks in the world. Beyond performing all the functions of a senior cybersecurity analyst, this position also provides forensic collection, analysis, and reporting expertise.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:A cents € cents Utilize alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, netflow, and custom sensors to identify compromises on customer networks/endpoints.A' A cents € cents Review massive log files, pivot between data sets, and correlate evidence for incident investigations.A cents € cents Triage alerts to identify malicious actors on customer networks.A cents € cents Document analysis, findings, and actions in case/knowledge management system.A cents € cents Create and distribute incident reports to customers and higher headquarters.A cents € cents Support high-visibility and high-tempo incident response, as required.A cents € cents Impart of skills and abilities through mentoring junior analystsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:A cents € cents Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience; additional work experience or Cyber courses/certifications may be substituted in lieu of degree.A cents € cents 6+ years of prior incident handling/response experienceA cents € cents 2+ years of digital forensic experience including usage of common digital forensic applicationsA cents € cents Experience performing forensic analysis on a variety of endpoint systems (ex. mobile, tablet, VDI, cloud, laptop, desktop)A cents € cents Understanding of and strict adherence to digital chain of custody forms and processesA cents € cents Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.A cents € cents Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findingsA cents € cents DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC prior to starting.A cents € cents DoD 8570 CSSP-A level Certification such as CEH, CySA+, GCIA or other certification is required within 6 months of A' hire.A cents € cents Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cybersecurity domain and an ability to think and work independentlyA cents € cents Hands-on experience with a variety of IDS, IPS, SIEM, and cybersecurity analytical tools.A cents € cents Demonstrated hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (eg Netflow, Full Packet Capture), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.A cents € cents Experience with malware analysis concepts and methods.A cents € cents Familiarity or experience in Intelligence Driven Defense, Cyber Kill Chain methodology, and/or MITRE ATT&CK framework.A cents € cents Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.A cents € cents Must be a US Citizen.A cents € cents Must have an active DoD Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:A cents € cents Top Secret - Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Eligible (DIA Adjudicated or capable of reciprocal acceptance by DIA)CND experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.A cents € cents Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).A cents € cents Understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.A cents € cents In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (eg ArcSight, Splunk, Nitro/McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, QRadar, LogLogic).A cents € cents Experience and proficiency with any of the following: Anti-Virus, HIPS/HBSS, IDS/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Network Forensics.A cents € cents Unix/Linux command line experience.A cents € cents Scripting and programming experience.A cents € cents Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findings.External Referral Bonus:EligibleExternal Referral Bonus $:$3000Potential for Telework:NoClearance Level Required:SecretTravel:Yes, 10% of the timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:DayRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:Cyber OperationsPay Range:
