System OneA' is seeking aA' Telecom EngineerA' for our client in Washington DC!A' A' The Telecom Engineer provides technical direction for telecommunications activities including planning, designing, installing, and maintaining large telecommunications networks. MUST have ability to complete Public Trust Level 2 background investigation. Responsibilities: Develops, operates, and maintains voice, video, and data communications systems. Applies telecommunications engineering principles and theory to propose design and configuration alternatives. Evaluates existing communications systems to identify deficiencies and network performance improvements. Consults with user personnel to ensure that problems have been properly identified and that the solution will meet the requirements. Analyzes network performance, usage and traffic flows, accesses and interfaces, transmission techniques, and protocols. Performs network analyses and feasibility studies concerning communications and communication networks. Prepares studies and gives presentations on communications concepts. Provides technical guidance to other personnel concerning data communications requirements. Prepares or participates in preparing functional specifications for acquiring commercially available data communications networks. Required Skills: Is a technical expert in the telecom field with over 10 years of diverse technical and industry experience. Solid understanding of IP/telecom networks and technologies, equipment designs, configuration procedures, and inventory databases is required. Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends to offer the customer advice on emerging technologies and processes. Ability to analyze the customer's Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution and provide expertise to manage mobile devices including iPhones, iPads, and other tablet devices. Ability to perform an analysis of the current telecom configurations and to make recommendations based on industry best practices. Able to perform an existing solution comparison with the latest products available in the market, including Microsoft Intune and JAMF, to identify any new solutions that could be a better fit for ATR needs. Have past experience with Intune, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 suite of products to determine if Intune might be an appropriate solution for mobile devices which could natively fit into existing schema. Have applicable industry certifications. Be able to complete Public Trust Level 2 background investigation. Have previous government experience providing enterprise level support. Advanced degree or significant equivalent experience required. Assignment is short term, through September 2021
