Title: Director and Treasurer, Non--ProfitAlexandria, Virginia Salary: Up to $150K + an annual bonusCompany : The candidate selected will initially be working remote. Once the transition back to their office in Alexandria begins,(no one knows when at present) the candidate selected can work a schedule with a couple of days working in the office and the rest of the time working from home. Position : The person selected for the Director/Treasurer position will be viewed as a partner or right hand to their CFO who the candidate selected will be reporting too with responsibility for the accounting and financial integrity of the 3 entities including budget development and guidelines for a non-profit with a $30M annual operating budget. Working closely with this client's Investment Advisors to monitor, recommend changes and implement the organizations investment portfolio. This person will oversee the annual audit as well as overseeing the preparation of the 990 tax return. Preferred experience: This client prefers a candidate to have a degree in either accounting or finance with 10 years of progressively responsible hands on day to day accounting/financial management experience. Even though this is a non-profit, non-profit experience is not required. This client prefers a candidate who is a CPA or actively pursuing their CPA. A combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience is ideal. Will be responsible for supervising 5 staff. Experience making presentations to a Board of Directors is a plus. Since this client will be replacing the software package they use which is Great Plains. Candidates who have financial system implementation, conversion or integration experience is also a plus.
