Job SummaryProvides support in the Human Resources (HR) department focusing on compensation, HRIS, job descriptions and employee data support. This position also provides support to all areas of the department as the needs of the department flexes throughout the year. A willingness for any data project or administrative task is a must to be successful this role. This position may change over time as the Department continues to grow.A' Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Provides administrative and functional support in areas within the Human Resources department including, but not limited to:A' Compensation:A' Supports HR Management by preparing compensation documentation including, but not limited to, promotion, lateral moves, and other compensation changes.A' Under the guidance of management, provides data to compensation surveys throughout the year as needed.A' Reviews benchmarking data each year against internal job documentation and updates as needed.A' Supports HR Management in setting up the annual compensation system cycle within Compensation system.A' Works on various compensation data analysis exercise paperwork and preparations for HR Management.A' Prepares compensation reports for various compliance reasons.A' Job Descriptions and Classification:Assists in reviewing job descriptions from HR Management and other HR members with ensuring it has all necessary information and aligns with internal guidelines. Assigns proper Radford/Mercer Code and creates AAP Plan code.A' Supports HR Management in ensuring every employee has an up to date job description.A' Reviews job descriptions and job codes directory; Keeps them proactively up to date.A' Assists HR Management by providing support in the creation of department career ladders paperwork and compensation analysis paperwork of those career ladders.A' HRIS:Ensures all validation tables (job codes, worker's compensation, etc.) used within the organization are accurate and up to date.Adds new positions into the HRIS ensuring they are accurate.A' Periodically runs employee data for review of accuracy within the HRIS.A' Data Support:Provides employee data for a variety of requests including Affirmation Action Reporting, EEO-1, VETS 4212 and any other approved requests from departments.A' Fulfils AAP data and re-survey requirements.A' Provides data support to HR Managers and other departments as needed.A' Prepare budget information as needed as neededEmployee Support: A' If needed, researches and resolves entry to mid-level employee questions, escalates complex issues to other department team members as needed.A' Department Support: A' A' Acts as payroll processor when needed. A' Flexibility to support the Payroll and Benefits and other areas of department in whatever is needed and take on additional tasks as the position evolves.Ability to process new hires, terminations and other employee changes as needed for overflow or back-up reasons.A' Ability to enter in background check information and support new hire orientation as needed.A' Other duties and projects as assigned. A' Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supports Talent Acquisition and HR Management in creating staffing requisition forms for approval as needed.A' May provide support in other areas of Human Resources based upon Department capacity.May provide suggestions and recommendations regarding HR processes, procedures, and company policies.May research and recommend changes to compensation plan design under the guidance of management. A' Supervisory Responsibilities:N/AKnowledge and Other Qualifications:Bachelor's with a minimum of 2+ years of direct related experience; or High School Degree plus 4+ years of direct experience.Prior experience with creating and reviewing large sets of data preferred.A' Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry preferred.A' Ability to understand and follow SOX 404 controls.A' Prior experience processing payroll a plus.A' High attention to detail: the ability to process data with minimal errors.A' Strong analytical skills; the ability to draw reasonable conclusion from data to make recommendations.A' Knowledge of compensation and employment laws; The willingness to keep up to date on these laws.A' Ability to maintain high ethical standards of confidentiality, integrity, and quality.A self-starter with the ability to prioritize own work.Excellent communication, spelling, and grammatical skills.Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills.Ability to use technology to create survey's graphs, and data analysis.A' Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.A' At least intermediate MS Excel skills and the willingness to become an expert user.A' Other Characteristics:Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Capable of being innovative and dynamic in approach to work.Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentSedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carry objects.
