St. Philip Neri Catholic School is seeking qualified candidates for middle school math teacher position beginning August 2021. The teacher would be responsible for all lessons aligned to the Archdiocesan curriculum. In addition to regular responsibilities, duties also include a middle school homeroom. This is an in-person teaching opportunity. Job Responsibilities: Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelinesProvide grade appropriate instructional program.Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic ChurchResponsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage studentsEstablish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating electronic gradebook frequentlyInteract effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely mannerQualifications: Degree in Elementary or Secondary Education with a concentration in an appropriate content area.Current MSDE certificationMinimum of three years of experience teaching on the middle school level preferredExperience in a Catholic School setting is preferredMust be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.Must have a commitment to Catholic School education
