ITAC Solutions is seeking a Junior IT Support Technician for a great company at Ft. Belvoir, VA. What you'll be doing (duties of this position): Provide system, network, and security consulting services.A' Position will involve support for Windows servers and the operating systems software and successful integration with the hardware and applications software across the organization.A' Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, security hardening and maintenance of servers. Troubleshoot problems that may involve applications and the network.A' Provide technical support to applications and utility developers on requirements for integration into the operating environment.A' Provide guidance and technical assistance as needed.A' Maintain and update documentation on the operating systems configuration.A' Manage software life cycles.A' A' Work hours are from 9am to 5:30pm (with 30 minute lunch) What you'll need to be considered (requirements/preferred): Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology (or similar) with at least two years of relevant technical experience.A' Additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of education requirements.A' Knowledge in either Veeam or Net Backup 7 and knowledge of DoD STIGs preferred.A' Knowledge of VMware is desirable.A' Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.A' Must have current Security+CE certification. Must have a DOD Secret security clearance to perform this task.A' A' Contract allows up to DOD Top Secret (which is preferred).
