POSITION SUMMARYThe leader of Centralized Coding is charged with providing strategic, operations, support of Change Healthcare's comprehensive Coding practice for hospital inpatient, hospital outpatient and physician/ambulatory practices. A' Responsible for the growth and operation of this service line, this leader will manage overall P&L and business management and the management of the leadership team and operations staff of more than 250 onshore employees and 700 offshore, both non-clinical and clinical, across multiple locations. S/he must possess deep domain knowledge across the middle revenue cycle in order to identify improve the market competitiveness of the current solutions. The VP role will need to closely work and collaborate with senior management and internal stakeholders at multiple levels to manage expectations as needed and keep the service line moving forward, including but not limited to Executive Leadership, Real Estate, Legal, HR, Finance, and Technology teams. This is a remote/telecommuter position.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide overall business leadership for the coding services, leading a team of diverse team members both on and offshore.Formulate business strategy, financial plans and execution plans for the business and be responsible for the business P&L.Responsible for strategic facilities management as it relates to expansion and/or consolidation, information systems, and communication systems and other technology needs.Improve the customer experience and enhance the infrastructure by leveraging existing and new technologies.Collaborate with other lines of business to drive organizational efficiencies and alignment and to develop the infrastructure for future growth.Effectively work across the matrix to shepherd the mindset and cultural shift needed to create a more streamlined process while the organization transforms to a more technologically-enabled medical coding experience.Provide leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the Vision and Values of Change Healthcare.Bottom line: Build an excellent company. Responsible for driving Technology-Enabled Services to achieve and surpass profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes for the Medical Coding Services solution.Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.Build and manage strategic vendor relationships.A' Develop and maintain relationships with external contacts.Manage internal and external service providers (IT, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, etc.) to ensure the offerings meet company objectives and these large shared services organizations are accountable to delivering effective, timely solutions.Recommend and champion strategies and tactics designed to positively impact key drivers, such as price, risk profile, utilization, activation, attrition and revenue, to ensure P&L and market share goals are achieved.Build for the future and provide strong leadership; oversee talent plans and strategies to attract, motivate and retain a diverse, qualified and engaged team to fulfill current and future business needs.A' Provide ongoing coaching and developing of staff and ensure resource planning.Understand the future of the industry and develop new coding solutions to better support clients and ensure smooth delivery of innovative solutions. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and manage productivity metrics and efficiencies.Assist, as required, in raising additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable the Company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company. Represent the company with clients, investors, and business partners.MINIMUM JOB QualificationsEducation / Training:Bachelor's DegreeMaster's Degree in business or related field preferredClinician or coder certificationBusiness Experience:Minimum of 10 years of strong operational experienceMinimum of 10 years of operational experience within the coding, charge capture or CDIAt least 3 years in a senior management role preferredManagement in large and complex environment preferredSpecialized Knowledge / Skills:Proven experience and expertise in leading a large and complex organization through transformation from one of largely independent, stand-alone business units to a more fully integrated and strategically aligned organization.Working knowledge of operations at the intersection of services and software, including healthcare information systems and call center technology preferred.Senior/Executive leadership experience in the capacity of patient access in large ambulatory or acute setting required, larger revenue cycle experience in addition preferred.Experience leading and growing the P&L of a solutions business within a medium to large size healthcare organization.
