Description Job Description:Leidos has an immediate need for a LAN Support Administrator. The selected candidate will assist SSA with providing Desktop support. The candidate will provide user support for Government supplied desktop and user's issues. The candidate should be able to work independently.A' The candidate will be collocated with the SSA government employees and subcontractors at a government facility in Durham, North Carolina (addresses listed below). The candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.This position may require occasional off hours support during operating system/software upgrades and patches.Required and Desired Skills:Experience in the installation of hardware and software on workstations and laptops.Experience troubleshooting hardware/software interface and interoperability problems relating to system patches, updates and enhancements on workstations and laptops.Experience with imaging, configuring, deploying and troubleshooting government workstations, laptops, and iPhones.Experience lifting, moving, and setting up workstations.Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot workstations and laptops.Experience with meeting room equipment, such as projectors, televisions and teleconference equipment.Experience with a problem incident ticketing system.Ability to administer and troubleshoot Windows Operating Systems and various software packages, including Microsoft tools and AdobeStrong problem solving skills and excellent customer service skills.Experience working on government sites with the ability to learn government processes and procedures.?Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and network printers.Ability to administer and troubleshoot SharePoint sites.Demonstrated proficiency in tracking inventory, including the location of all systems, software releases and telecommunications equipment. Should be able to conduct inventory reviews.Ability to assist in the acquisition, installation, testing and evaluation of computer hardware and software.Experience with diagnosing and resolving problems in response to reported incidents using tools such as Active Directory.Experience with administering file, print and database servers.Ability to create "How to"A' documentation.Strong problem solving skills and excellent customer service skills.Ability to drive between the two SSA buildings during work hours to perform support activities (Research Triangle and Social Security Administration-SSC). Addresses are listed below.
