Senior Accountant - Temp to Perm Nonprofit RoleAbout the Company and Opportunity:Our client is a long respected and established Nonprofit in the DC area (Metro Accessible) that has been around for 100 years! They are hiring a temp to perm position for an Senior Accountant which starts remotely until October when it will be a hybrid role, partial in-office and partial remote. This position pays $42 an hour and for the right candidate will become permanent with a yearly salary of $80,000 - $90,000. This person will be responsible for general accounting and cash receipts in their investment portfolio group, supervising 2 people. Journal entries and reconciling large investment pools and supervising cash coding process.Senior Accountant (100% remote to start): Bachelor's in accounting or related field, minimum 5 years nonprofit (endowments would be a PLUS) accounting experience and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's). PeopleSoft or Workday financials software preferred.Must possess good communications skills and ability to work in high stress, high activity environment.
