Description Job Description:Leidos has a current job opportunity for an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to work the swing shift (1400-2200hrs) on the DISA GSM-O program at the Pentagon, Washington, DC.POSITION SUMMARY:This position provides 24x7 cybersecurity monitoring services for Joint Service Provider networks. This includes performing real-time cyber threat intelligence analysis, correlating actionable security events, performing network traffic analysis using raw packet data, and participating in the coordination of resources during the incident response process. There are three available shifts: days, swings (second shift), and mids.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:A cents € cents Analyze events and alerts from endpoints, IDS/IPS, netflow, and custom sensors to identify, investigate, contain, and eradicate compromises on customer networks/endpoints.A' A cents € cents Review log files, pivot and correlate between data sets, and document evidence and findings for all incident investigations.A cents € cents Review analysis of peers and less experienced analysts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to SOC standards.A cents € cents Clearly capture analysis, findings, and actions in a case/knowledge management system.A cents € cents Create and distribute incident reports to customers and higher headquarters.A cents € cents Conduct research (closed source, open source, Intel sourced) to stay abreast of attack vectors, actor TTPs, and current trends and reporting.A cents € cents Help tune tools to remove false positives and noisy signatures.A cents € cents Mentor junior analysts on processes, technologies, and help them improve their analytical skills.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:A cents € cents Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience; additional work experience or Cyber courses/certifications may be substituted in lieu of degree.A cents € cents 6+ years of prior incident handling/response experienceA cents € cents Defensive cybersecurity experience (Protect, Detect, Respond and Sustain) within a Computer Incident Response organization.A cents € cents Deep understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).A cents € cents Familiarity or experience in Intelligence Driven Defense, Cyber Kill Chain methodology, and/or MITRE ATT&CK framework.A cents € cents Significant experience and proficiency using and/or analyzing information from the following capabilities: Anti-Virus, HIPS/HBSS, IDS/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Network Forensics.A cents € cents Demonstrated sound understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements.A cents € cents Motivated self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create complex technical reports on analytic findingsA cents € cents DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, SANS GSEC prior to starting.A cents € cents DoD 8570 CSSP-A level Certification such as CEH, CySA+, GCIA or other certification is required within 6 months of start.A cents € cents Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cybersecurity domain and an ability to think and work independentlyA cents € cents Substantial hands-on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (eg Netflow, Full Packet Capture), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations.A cents € cents Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.A cents € cents Willing to perform shift work, including weekend hours.A cents € cents Must be a US Citizen.A cents € cents Must have an active DoD Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:A cents € cents Top Secret - Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Eligible (DIA Adjudicated or capable of reciprocal acceptance by DIA)A cents € cents In-depth knowledge of architecture, engineering, and operations of at least one enterprise SIEM platform (eg ArcSight, Splunk, Nitro/McAfee Enterprise Security Manager, QRadar, LogLogic).A cents € cents Experience with malware analysis concepts and methods.A cents € cents Unix/Linux command line experience.A cents € cents Scripting and programming experience.GSMOExternal Referral EligibleA' External Referral Bonus:EligibleExternal Referral Bonus $:$3000Potential for Telework:NoClearance Level Required:SecretTravel:Yes, 10% of the timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:EveningRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:Cyber OperationsPay Range:
