Description Job Description:Leidos is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to work remotely supporting the DHMSM contract. The DHMSM program provides modernization of Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense. The Leidos Partnership for Defense Health (LPDH) is seeking candidates for the engineering team to support a number of positions to define, implement, deploy and sustain new capabilities for the MHS GENESIS DoD EHR system.Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop and support containerized microservices within a Kubernetes clusterJava development of microservices to implement new capabilities or enhance existing servicesFull stack implementation and support capabilitiesArchitect and implement infrastructure as code solutions.Understand the strategic direction to reach team goals, and collaborate with development teams to understand project deliverables and promote DevSecOps cultureProvide creative problem solving and solutions to complex problems that arise in local and production environmentsOwn tasks through analysis, implementation, and production deploymentWork closely with Operations team to provide repeatable, automated processSupport CI/CD automation related to servicesLead and mentor other team-members through code-reviews and one-on-one sessionsCreate adequate and understandable documentation for servicesCommunicate effectively across product, development, operations, and application security teamsLeverage DevOps Engineering technical expertise and participate in the introduction of new capabilities and the enhancement or troubleshooting of existing capabilitiesAbility to quickly ramp up on new technologies when encounteredWork independently within a matrixed organizationBasic QualificationsBS Degree and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.US Citizen with current US Government clearance; ability to obtain and maintain ADP2/IT2 Public Trust. Federal Government requirement.Use judgment to determine solutions to complex problemsExperience on a project with at least 1 yr duration working in AWS cloud environment, solution architecture with AWS.Experience on a project with at least 1 yr duration implementing automation frameworks including one or more of the following: Ansible, Gitlab CI, Python, shell scriptingExperience at least 2 projects with at least 6mo duration using or implementing development & automation tools such as Git,A' Jira, Terraform, Packer, Consul, Vault, Kubernetes, Nexus, Maven,Experience on a project with at least 1 yr duration designing and implementing container-based applications2+ years of experience scripting and/or programming in a Unix, Linux, Windows environmentExperience architecting and implementing solutions using container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, Konvoy, OpenShift, or MesosExperience architecting and implementing solutions using private or public cloudExperience integrating DevOps pipeline with test automation toolsOne or more of the following skills are required: Kubernetes Administration experience (Rancher nice to have), RabbitMQ, Gitlab CI pipelines (design, create, maintain)Strong development experience with: Java, Javascript/Typescript, Spring based microservices, REST API's (JSON, XML), Containerization (Docker), Container Orchestration (Kubernetes), JUnit,Exposure to: Angular, Skaffold, AWS, Linux (RHEL or Debian/Ubuntu), Scripting (Bash, Python), CI/CD automation (eg Gitlab, Jenkins), Automated unit and integration testing (eg Junit, Jasmine, Selenium)Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business termsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skillsStrong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environmentRequirements interpretation and decompositionAgile software development (Kanban, Scrum), including testingPreferred Qualifications DevOps and operational support experienceExperience with EHR system infrastructure architecture and implementationExperience with the following technologies is desired:Gitlab pipeline automationAnsibleInfrastructure as Code (IaC) architecture design, deployment, migration, and sustainmentGrafana / PrometheusAWS Managed ServicesStatic code analysis & quality (eg Sonarqube, Sqale, JArchitect, Fortify)Container/Artifact Registries (eg Nexus, Harbor)Cybersecurity implementationsIdentity and access managementExternal Referral Bonus:IneligibleExternal Referral Bonus $:Potential for Telework:Yes, 100%Clearance Level Required:Public TrustTravel:Yes, 10% of the timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:DayRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:Software EngineeringPay Range:#Remote
