Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Software Product Owner to work in either Mountain View, CA, or Chantilly, VA, or Fairfax, VA locations (San Francisco or Washington, DC regions).A' We're seeking a highly talented, motivated, and creative software developer to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities of an agile software program for the national intelligence community.Program seeks a highly talented, motivated, product owner who leads the agile software development lifecycle rhythm, processes, and stakeholder objectives.A' Collects, organizes, synthesizes, and analyses data; summarizes findings; develops conclusions and recommendations from appropriate stakeholders.A' Position Responsibilities:Assist with analyzing high level customer requirements and deriving lower level functional requirements.Assist with leading and directing the activities and resources of assigned projects and support management and engineering in large scale and complex projects.Assist with leading/planning software development tasks including detailed software design, coding, and testing of customer desired features/user stories, ensuring successful achievement of acceptance criteria.Customer/stakeholder presentation and reporting skills.A' Assist with briefing software designs and demonstrating software release functionality to users.Assist with developing and sustaining new and existing applications; as well as troubleshoot and resolve various software issues.Contribute to the creation of new distributed components and interactions that align with the future system architecture.A' The existing multi-tiered system is developed on a cloud infrastructure with several consumer-facing web applications.Provide reports, project status and change information to project team per established processes and communicates plan changes and recovery plans to others.Use negotiating skills by engaging with specific organizational and project task owners to improve project performance commitments.Responsible for the development and update of task specific, plans, deliverables and schedules.A' Communicate regularly with Program Management, technical leadership, and product teams.A' Communicate as required directly with customer to understand need and resolve cross-functional technical issues.Support to engineering as required for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, estimation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Complete ability to accept, direct, and perform responsibilities and work assigned tasks as a project team member in support of the overall project.Occasional business travel and after hours support may be required.A' This position is contingent upon clearance verification and program/customer concurrence. Offer is contingent upon security approval for program access.This position requires an active Top Secret US Security Clearance. (US Citizenship is required) (A US Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). This position also requires SCI eligibility. MUST BE WILLING TO SIT FOR A CI POLYGRAPH AFTER START DATE Basic Qualifications:Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologiesExperience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Desired Qualifications:Ability to learn project planning processes and tools (ie, project management software) to define, design, and plan projects, achieve project deliverables, optimize the contributions of internal and external resources, and accomplish desired business results.Familiarity with Atlassian Products (eg Jira, Confluence, Crucible, etc.)Leadership skills with focus in project management, scheduling and/or agile scrum masterSolid background in Java and foundational knowledge of object-oriented design and software patterns. (1+ years of experience)Experience using dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle)Experience developing and maintaining SOAP, RMI, REST APIs and interfacesExperience using cloud based infrastructure (AWS)Knowledge of Git or other DVCS; experience using automation server (Jenkins)Experience/knowledge of the GEOINT domainFamiliarity with practices such as test-driven development (TDD), agile software development, continuous integration, and dependency management is preferred.Typical Education:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (eg Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
