Now about the work: A cents € cents The Human Resources Vice President is part of our Shared Services team"A cents € composed of finance, operations, people, information technology, and facilities. We play a pivotal role in ensuring our colleagues have everything they need to support our clients, such as Planned Parenthood, NRDC, and many more.Here's what you'll be doing in this role: A cents € cents Develop strategy, manage implementation, and oversee administration of personnel policies and procedures, including the COMPANY Employee Handbook and COMPANY's collective bargaining agreement. A cents € cents Lead relations with our staff union, the Washington-Baltimore News Guild, including coordinating our joint Labor-Management Committee, managing personnel records and reporting required by the union, handling the grievance process, and playing a lead role in bargaining. A cents € cents Support strategy and oversee the administration of the firm's compensation and benefits programs. A cents € cents Provide oversight to discipline process and manage involuntary departures. A cents € cents Advise management and support employees in appropriate resolution of employee relations. A cents € cents Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. A cents € cents Prepare and manage human resources annual operations plan and budget. A cents € cents Manage contracts with outside suppliers providing employee services. A cents € cents Develop strategy and oversee implementation of HRIS (Paycom) and other HR systems. A cents € cents Coordinate payroll logistics with Finance colleagues. A cents € cents Directly supervise two to three HR staff. A cents € cents Be a visible and vocal presence by actively contributing to our organizational culture and building inclusive spaces within your teams and across COMPANY. A cents € cents Do your part to help us run smoothly"A cents € including carefully tracking all of your hours asA' well as pitching in with small office management responsibilities.Skills and experiences required for this role: A cents € cents 10+ years of human resources experience, including working in a unionized environment. A cents € cents A Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.A' A cents € cents Working knowledge and strategic approach to the principles and practices of human resources operations. A cents € cents Demonstrated experience working with legal counsel and advising supervisors to ensure compliance and best practices when managing sensitive work situations. A cents € cents Working knowledge of payroll functions as it relates to benefits, such as healthcare, FSA, retirement plans, etc. A cents € cents Experience proposing and analyzing team budgets, negotiating benefit contracts, and limited scope audits. A cents € cents Experience managing discipline processes. A cents € cents Ability to communicate persuasively in a way that articulates your ideas and conveys your expertise, whether on the phone, in-person, or in writing. A cents € cents Demonstrated ability to craft meeting agendas to identify project goals and ensure successful outcomes.
