SQL Server Technical Supervisor
The DSI SQL Server Engineering team at GEICO is seeking a highly motivated, experienced and transformational candidate to join as a SQL Server Technical Supervisor. This candidate must have excellent management and leadership skills, strong verbal and written communication as well as strong technical/problem solving skills. Candidate will be required to perform all administrative, coaching and associate development duties involved with leading a team of senior and mid-level database administrators. Required Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience leading/managing teams Proven ability of driving results across multiple projects and lead Proven ability of driving the implementation of large scale infrastructure changes across teams Good working knowledge of GEICO SQL Server database environments, Azure Infrastructure as a Service, and Azure SQL/Paas Ability and flexibility to support 7 x 24 mission critical databases Ability to look beyond the immediate assignments and lead team in developing efficient solutions that meet the long term strategic goals of the organization. Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree, or actively pursuing a degree in Information Technology Management or Computer Science or related fields. Proven ability of working within an Agile development life cycle (including a strong understanding of Agile principles) Must have excellent project management, organizational skills (ie build and manage project plans) and an established track record of delivering results.
