Accounts Payable Specialist
A well-known transportation and logistics company in Hanover, MD is looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Associate who is detail oriented and persistent. They are looking for someone with experience handling a high volume of vendor invoices, multiple steps for every cargo movement. This position is 100% in office.Some of the specific duties associated with this position include:Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.A' Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice and expense reports; recording entries.Liaison with Operations and Warehouse personnel to resolve billing questions.Printing checks and sending out payments weeklyCreate check lists for fraud management systemResponding to vendor invoices and inquiriesEnsuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy and within vendor termsResolving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company; ensures credit is received for outstanding memosVerifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.A' Maintains historical records by printing, scanning, and filing documentsProtects organization's value by keeping information confidential.Work hours and benefits:A' this is a full-time position, Mon - Fri, 8:30 am to 5:15 pm with 45 minutes for lunch.Qualifications and Skills:A' Attention to detail and organization is essential to being successful in this position.A' Data entry and general math skills required.Education, Experience and Licensing requirements:A' high school diploma or equivalent is required.A' Higher education in accounting, finance or a related field preferred.A' Previous accounts payable experience preferred.A' A' We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
