Senior Vice President, Sales This position is located in Reston, VA This is not remote work US Citizenship or Green Card Holder - no sponsorship available PURPOSE - Provide strategic and tactical leadership for all sales development across the United States. Show profit and growth within the category by overseeing the trade marketing events across the StarKist portfolio including Private Label. This is done by careful assessment of spending within agreed upon guidelines in order to achieve corporate case volume, market share and profit objectives. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES - Achieve operating income, volume, Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving (MAPS) goals through effective management of StarKist Sales Team, Brokers and Customers. Develop Zone/Regional strategic plans that can be effectively executed on an account and market basis to achieve volume and profit goals. Develop effective business relations with key account personnel. Train and assist StarKist Zone/Regional Sales Managers to help them profitably build their business. Identify, lead and deliver on key sales initiatives/selling opportunities Develop strategies, tactics and resources to provide "world-class"A' Sales leadership for our customers. Lead and manage strategic customer appointments to develop customer and consumer expertise. Achieve volume and operating income goals through planning and working together with the StarKist Sales support personnel and Brokers. Additionally, this position must be able to work, develop and motivate a brand management team with the skills and competency to meet the business objectives. The incumbent must work with others to develop career paths to facilitate recruitment and maximize capabilities and improve the retention of our best people. Manage performance related funds to achieve volume and profit goals with consumption related account specific programs and planning. Work closely with the Sales Department utilizing Account Specific Marketing that meets individual customer's needs and serves the long and short term corporate goals. Understanding of marketplace trends. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES - 10 years of overall professional experience in CPG sales management or related industry 5 years in a position of similar complexity, scope, size and international impact. BA/MBA in Business Administration preferred Broad knowledge and experience in Grocery Trade gained at successive levels of responsibility in multiple areas of Headquarters and Retail Levels Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
