Baltimore Country Club has proudly been able to continue to employ and pay all staff during the crisis even when the Club was operating with minimal amenities for our membership. Staff are the backbone of our Club and valued members of the BCC family. Baltimore Country Club of Roland Park, MD is looking to hire a part-time Pastry Cook to help our kitchen staff prepare delicious cakes, bread, cookies, and other great deserts for our loyal members. ABOUT BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898 and it was a success from the start, with 600 members enjoying its 150-acre facility less than five miles from downtown Baltimore. Just one year after opening, the Club gained immediate recognition in the golf world by hosting the fifth United States Open Championship. Today the Club is nearly 3,000 members strong with two campuses. It is widely recognized as one of the top 50 country clubs in the nation and top 100 in the world. Our culinary team prides itself on being able to produce a large variety of culinary items in house, including house made bacon, corned beef, barbeque sauce, apple butter and maple syrup to name a few items! When it comes to the Pastry side of the kitchen, things are no different! The Pastry team is able to produce bread, celebration cakes, brownies, homemade ice cream, and a variety of cookies, all with exciting flares that create lasting memories for our Members and guests which in return make BCC a favorite place for all! QUALIFICATIONS This position requires somebody who is able to easily follow directions and recipes, as well as the ability to maintain an organized workspace by storing ingredients, cleaning the workspace, and informing the Pastry Chef if ingredients are running low. Previous baking experience is preferred but not required if the right candidate is passionate about learning! Do you work well as part of a team? Do you have excellent customer service skills and a love for hospitality? Do you have good communication skills and the ability to memorize information easily? Can you read and follow directions well? Are you quick on your feet and able to work in a fast-paced environment? Do you prefer doing the right thing instead of what is easier?
