SummarySEC's Office of Information Technology is looking for an applicant to join their Asset Management Branch. OIT's Asset Management Branch is responsible for receiving, managing, and disposing of Headquarters and Region Office IT property and equipment.This position is located in Washington, DC. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Provides oversight and technical leadership for subordinate employees Serves as a supply management/Information Technology (IT) equipment management expert maintaining an effective supply management program, including providing effective material support for the SEC's headquarters and regional offices. Provides technical advice, guidance, and assistance using expertise of IT property and equipment operations to agency supply and subject-matter managers on new developments and advances supply techniques. Reconciles physical inventory records with related financial accounting records for the Office of Financial Management and for equipment retirement/disposal records. Completes a variety of supply management/project management assignments and projects to ensure an overall effective SEC IT property and equipment management program. Oversees the implementation of actions involving requirements determination, acquisition of supplies and materials, managing property accountability systems, and assuring that property is in place where and when needed. At that time, you will be eligible to request telework in accordance with the SEC 's telework policy. Qualifications All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level.Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
