SummarySEC's Office of Information Technology is looking for an applicant to join their Asset Management Branch. OIT's Asset Management Branch is responsible for receiving, managing, and disposing of Headquarters and Region Office IT property and equipment.This position is located in Washington, DC. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Provides oversight and technical leadership for subordinate employees Serves as a supply management/Information Technology (IT) equipment management expert maintaining an effective supply management program, including providing effective material support for the SEC's headquarters and regional offices. Provides technical advice, guidance, and assistance using expertise of IT property and equipment operations to agency supply and subject-matter managers on new developments and advances supply techniques. Reconciles physical inventory records with related financial accounting records for the Office of Financial Management and for equipment retirement/disposal records. Completes a variety of supply management/project management assignments and projects to ensure an overall effective SEC IT property and equipment management program. Oversees the implementation of actions involving requirements determination, acquisition of supplies and materials, managing property accountability systems, and assuring that property is in place where and when needed. This position is not in the collective bargaining unit. Due to COVID-19, the SEC is currently in a mandatory telework posture through September 7, 2021. If selected, you will be permitted to temporarily telework from a location outside the local commuting area. Once employees are permitted to return to the office, you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within 60 days. At that time, you will be eligible to request telework in accordance with the SEC 's telework policy. Qualifications All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level.Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (eg, professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
