Job Description LINE/PREP COOK Line/Prep Cook prepares a wide variety of foods according to recipe requirements and adheres to product sensitivities and plate presentation. Ensures that all prepared food meets food safety and quality standards Duties and Responsibilities: Reliable and punctual; arrive to work when scheduled and on time. Positive and professional attitude; be a part of the team. Respect for fellow employees and guests, ability to work under pressure. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Prepare dishes exactly as per recipes. Keeps entire prep area clean; stocks and sets-up rotation. Keeps prepared food continuously stocked on the line Communicates to management team when running low on product Completes assigned prep work for stocking and set-up of station. Breaks down and cleans prep area, walk-ins, and freezers thoroughly daily Assists with Line Checks and ensures every product in the prep area, walk-ins, and freezers is within sensitivity guidelines and adheres to food safety standards Station set-up with stocks of menu items and prepare the dishes designated for that station Cleans and sanitizes through the shift. Execute tickets in a timely fashion, serving consistent and quality food. Responsible for general cleanliness of work station and kitchen. Follow health and safety procedures laid out by management. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with speed and accuracy. Rotate stock to keep food fresh. Keep kitchen extremely organized and clean. Keep work station clean and organized. General kitchen cleaning, ie, change deep fat fryer, clean ovens, refrigerators, and walk-in. Stands during the entire shift. Reaches, bends, and stoops frequently. Ability to lift 25 30 pounds. At closing, all prep items must be properly wrapped, stored, and dated. Other related duties as directed by management.
