Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group, in conjunction with a national Government Contractor, is seeking a detail-oriented Contract Close-out Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the Washington, DC Metro Area.   • Perform all job requirements of the contract closeout process to include providing status updates during all phases of the close-out period and ensuring the process/checklists are completed appropriately
  • Analyze unbilled receivable balances; conduct variance analysis that reflects the cumulative unbilled amounts for the contract, labor hours, and raw cost reconciliations that have hour/cost discrepancies; confirm all unbilled amounts are reconciled
  • Ensure all financial information has been submitted and evaluated, and final payment has been made, and the contract is administratively retired in the data system
  • Collaborate with relevant internal teams to ensure all contract data is properly analyzed and reconciled
  • Review company's policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all company and government regulations
  • Perform and support monthly financial reporting requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant field with 6+ years of federal contracts close-out experience
  • Must have experience supporting the accounting/finance side of the contracts close-out process
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations including FAR, DFAR, and CAS
  • DCAA/DCMA experience preferred
  • Costpoint experience is highly desired
  • Security clearance not required, but must be eligible to be cleared in the future
