Summary

The Mid-Level Graphics Designer will provide graphic services, including but not limited to the creation of original graphics using conventional or computer-generated products and delivery of completed project at both on and offsite locations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide graphic services of all phases of graphic image production, including but not limited to the following:
  • Creation of original graphics using conventional or computer-generated products
  • Consulting and coordinating with other EMC departments as required
  • Delivery of completed project at both on and offsite locations
  • Consult with clients/customers to clarify graphic product/services available to meet the customers' graphic needs.
  • Provide cost estimates, document materials, and hours worked for each project.
  • Provide art direction to visually express plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction.
  • Support senior team members in the design of new products, existing products, brands, and campaigns.
  • Upload design and completed files to the EMC Content Image Library and the EMC archival database.
  • Accept and implement Art Director's and Creative Director's corrections and suggestions.
  • Determine appropriate means to produce the desired visual effect and production methods.
  • Maintain a daily task list for assigned projects discussing time allotments, schedules, and delegations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in related field of study
  • 8+ years of working experience in Fine Computer, Commercial, Visual, or Graphic Arts, or in related fields of study
  • Background check required
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance within 6 months of hire

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to pass customer security requirements.
  • Must be knowledgeable in VI Systems and processes, and possess the knowledge of invention, imagination, and originality.
  • Experience translating business needs/challenges into marketing solutions.
  • Ability to ignite and build strong interpersonal relationships with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to recommend cost saving solutions to projects in relation to the printing process.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management.
  • Expertise in Adobe Design Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
